Operational Reporting Optimization
The foundation for every reporting system is a good operational reporting capability – immediate access to information about the quality, productivity and cost of all banking processes and outcomes. Most core system vendors and major applications vendors provide some form of reporting capability, however, challenges include:
- Core system and application reporting systems are separate systems, don’t use the same data and use different terms
- IT Reporting resources, other than for the core system, usually work in the business unit that owns the application
- Reporting capabilities are marginally used, typically because of limited training and support provided by each application vendor
